Gabi Bloom

Early Years Teacher

Specialises in the 4+ and 5+ examination preparations.

A little about Gabi:

Hello! I'm Gabi, a caring, bubbly and committed person. I always try to push and challenge myself in all aspects. Aside from teaching I have many passions. In my spare time, I enjoy getting my nose stuck in a range of books, baking and decorating cakes, going on long forest walks with my puppy and spending time at the gym.

I thoroughly enjoy immersing myself into sketches and paintings whilst listening to music. Family time is essential to me. Game nights, Sunday strolls along the beach and delicious Sunday roasts are some of the many things I enjoy doing with my family. I do also consider myself a comedian and thrive off making people laugh and being a reason for the smile on their faces.

I am a qualified primary school teacher with a first class honours degree in primary education. I have had experience teaching in years one, two and three. I have a secure understanding of the national curriculum across the primary phase with a particular focus on KS1. Teaching in year two for the past two years, I have a secure understanding of the SATs.

I have attended many borough moderations and training sessions with regards to this and have implemented my previous and new knowledge into my teaching practice.

In addition to this, I have undertaken two phonics screening tests and have had training in this area too. For the past two years, I have mentored NQT's (now known as ECT's) and trainee teachers providing them with support and guidance through their first year of teaching.

It is a passion to see each child succeed which is one of the many reasons I thoroughly enjoy tutoring!

Hi my name is Kelly! I’ve been teaching in London for four years.

I have experience teaching in both KS1 and KS2. Currently, I teach full time in a primary school and offer general curriculum tutoring as well as exam preparation for the 7+, 8+ and 11+ entrance exams.

In maths, I incorporate concrete and pictorial fluency, reasoning and problem solving in my lessons to ensure students understand each concept thoroughly.

In English, I focus on grammar, vocabulary, and self editing to develop writing skills and confidence in my students. To prepare students for reading, I work through the necessary skills to help students immerse themselves in a text and answer comprehension questions and in a timely, thorough way.

With the goal to make each lesson engaging and enjoyable for my students, I incorporate games, videos, quizzes and real life scenarios to keep the learning relevant, fun and stimulating.

I enjoy the opportunity to work one on one with students to help them progress and reach their goals.
