We knew we wanted to send our son to a school that required him to sit the 4+ assessments. I did not know what was needed to prep him. I searched online and came across creative mind tutors. After having read their blog posts on their website, I had a discovery call with Maria. During this call she listened to me and I instantly knew she would be right for us. Her knowledge of the curriculum is outstanding.

We started with her curriculum sprints and then embarked on weekly tuition sessions online. Maria was kind, patient and structured. She knew exactly what needed to be done and was aware of the timeline we had.

Our son got offers from all the schools we applied to and I am so grateful to Maria for making the whole experience fun and enjoyable for little children.

We started working with Maria about a year prior to our daughter's assessment.

Maria prepared my son for 7 schools for his 4+ Assessments. Her approach was thorough and specific to each school that we were preparing for. I knew from the moment that I spoke to her that she knew what she was talking about! She has prepared children for their 4+ Assessments for over 14 years now!

Our top choices of schools were Haberdashers' boys and UCS. Our son was successful to all of his Assessments apart from Merchant Taylors' to which he was waitlisted. With only 8 places available at 4+, we weren't really expecting any different!

This is a true testament to Maria. Without her help, we wouldn't be where we are today. We were in the position to have a choice of where we wanted to send out son to. Maria truly was there for us every step of the way. She really does provide ongoing support and she would always reply to our messages promptly. Any questions that we had, she answered. She was always very honest and we valued and appreciated that.

After the Assessments, we had at least 4 calls with Maria. These were all included with our package of lessons and were of tremendous value to us. Maria supported myself and my husband with our very important decision of where to send our son.

We have decided that he will go to Habs. Well, to be honest our son decided as he absolutely loved that school!

The Assessment was tough and if you are preparing for Habs or UCS, please do work with Maria. She is exceptional. I highly recommend her to anyone sitting any Assessment (Maria also prepared our son for his 7+ Assessments with equally incredible results).

Maria is a brilliant tutor. She is engaging and made the lessons fun and super easy to follow.

I was sceptical as to how someone would be able to effectively teach my daughter via zoom, especially as she had only just turned three when she started, but there was no issue at all.

Both my daughter and I enjoyed the sessions - so much so that, even though we no longer require a tutor, my daughter keeps asking when she can next speak to Maria!

I would like to say a big thank you to Greg and Kate for all their help with Ishaa with Maths and English for her GCSE’s.

She has always been a bright girl but was unable to show it on paper and they both gave her the confidence and showed her techniques in order to go into the exams with all the right tools.

In particular I have to thank Greg for maths as at the beginning of year 11 she was averaging an 4/5 and ended up with an 8.

Overall she ended up getting 7 x 9 grades and 2 x 8 grades. Thank you to all at Creative Minds!

Maria is a fantastic teacher and her online sessions have been an excellent way of encouraging an interest for learning, making it fun and much more like a game which is just right for early years learning.

María was able to identify basic gaps in my child’s knowledge and iron those out significantly before delving into the 11+ preparation. With patience care and attention, María worked closely with my child on 11+ past papers during summer bootcamp. A combination of detailed feedback and carefully chosen Maths and English tasks improved his confidence enormously. María has a natural gift when working with children that makes learning fun and this is most often the way to successful learning.
