Is your child really assessed differently because they are younger?

Many of you won’t like what I have to say.
And that’s ok.
I’d rather be honest with you than tell you something that simply is not true.
Many parents I speak to believe that because their child is summer born that they will be assessed differently to their Autumn born peers.
Let’s not get this confused.
Children are grouped into age groups (at most 4+ Assessments) but please don’t take this to mean that they will be assessed differently to their peers who are older than them.
I’ve never spoken to one single parent who has ever told me that their child was assessed differently compared to another child.
The Assessments will not be different for your child just because they are summer born.
Why would they be?
Prepare your child in the exact same way as a child who is nearly a year older than them will be prepared.
If you don’t, it is highly likely that they will not be ready for their 4+ Assessments and it is very likely that they will not pass.
