Habs' Girls' 4+ Assessments - 'We have high expectations for our students, so it is important that we ensure your daughter would be given the space to thrive at Habs.'

‘We have high expectations for our students, so it is important that we ensure your daughter would be given the space to thrive at Habs.’

I love that Habs has written this.

To me this makes it very clear what they are looking for.

And that at the 4+ Assessments, they are looking for girls who would actually be happy and thrive at their school.

With 40 places available at Habs’girls, competition will be fierce again this year.

With applications in the very high hundreds (if not more!), your daughter will absolutely need to be thoroughly prepared. She will need to be prepared so that she can actually go in and complete everything that she will be asked to complete!

Round 1 is a group activity session which will last about 50 minutes. ‘Children with birth months in close proximity are placed in the same group’ - please note that this does not mean that their Assessment will be different because they are summer or autumn born.

The second round is a 1:1 Assessment and parents will be invited to meet the Headteacher for an informal meeting.

Habs then goes on to write…
Admission at 4+ and 7+ involve straightforward assessments. We strongly recommend against tutoring your child for these. Everything they have already done and learnt will be enough to show us their potential.’

Believe what you want but I’ve never spoken to one single parent in nearly 20 years who have told me that they have sent their daughter to Habs Girls 4+ Assessment with no preparation.

‘Straightforward assessments’ is also misleading.

We have an incredible success rate with preparing our girls to a very high standard for their 4+ Assessments @Habs Girls. The first round is mid December so you still have time to get our support.
